70′s Movies- New York Style

There’s nothing like watching a good movie, and when it has something to do with New York, even better. The movies from the 70′s have that feeling that can’t be repeated. And if the protagonist finds himself or herself in or about a New York City Subway, you know something is bound to happen. I’ve seen some of these movies at a very young age. I didn’t get them, I didn’t think they would mean anything to me. But once I revisited these classic films or should I say cult films, I get it now. Tony Manero waiting for that R train at dawn. The Warriors all over NYC. Gloria killing off gangsters. Popeye Doyle chasing a train.
Here’s my top ten list of 70′s New York Movies.
1. The French Connection
2. Saturday Night Fever
3. The Warriors
4. Gloria
5. Taxi Driver
6. Mean Streets
7. The Conversation
8. Serpico
9. The Taking of Pelham, 1,2,3.
10. Klute
